Reentry, Rehabilitation, And Redemption Are A Process, Not An Event

The DMLC mission is to improve our community one 2nd Chance at a time–– not merely by who we assist, but through who we enlist. We are a nonprofit legal clinic dedicated to reducing recidivism by helping clients tackle the collateral consequences of arrests and convictions, so they can build a better future and thrive in our community. Our core aims are empowerment and personal responsibility. Our dedicated and passionate legal staff maximize services by involving law students and local volunteer attorneys. This model not only contributes to saving counties millions of tax payer dollars in recidivism and victim costs, improving public safety, and preserving the social fabric of our community, but also educates current and future attorneys about the practice and importance of Reentry Law to this largely overlooked population and to communities at large.
